GLP may consider complete manuscripts or well-developed proposals that fit our catalog, values, and current capacity.
A promising project may benefit from conversation around purpose, audience, structure, voice, and readiness.
Depending on the project, collaboration may extend to design, illustration, production, publishing preparation, or launch planning.
Rights, royalties, responsibilities, and other terms are never assumed; they are discussed clearly and recorded in a project-specific written agreement.

Gateway Legacy Publishing believes responsible AI can widen the doorway to authorship.
For co-founder and author Tad Steckler, AI has become an accessibility tool following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke. It has helped him organize, develop, and complete books rooted in ideas, experiences, and creative direction that are fully his own—work that might otherwise have remained unfinished because of his disabilities.
Tad’s experience is one reason we see AI not as a substitute for authorship, but as a bridge. We welcome thoughtful, transparent AI assistance while keeping the author’s voice, judgment, originality, and accountability at the center of every project.
What draws us in
Books with a reason to exist.
We are most interested in work that helps a reader become more courageous, thoughtful, connected, capable, or hopeful.
Our interests include children’s literature; leadership; patriotic books; military-family stories; hope and healing; travel-inspired reflection; and fiction with emotional or philosophical depth.
That list is a guide, not a rigid boundary. A project’s purpose, audience, voice, and alignment with GLP matter more than fitting neatly into a label.
Clear from the beginning
Every collaboration is shaped around the project.
GLP does not publish a standard price list because scope and needs vary. If a conversation advances, possible services, responsibilities, schedule, rights, royalties, and any financial terms are discussed privately and documented in writing before work begins.
Exploring a project together is not a promise of publication, and not every strong manuscript will be the right fit for GLP’s mission or current capacity.
How a conversation begins
Start with the story and the fit.
Share a brief overview, the intended reader, the manuscript’s current stage, and why you believe it belongs with GLP.
We consider purpose, audience, editorial readiness, alignment with our catalog, and the time and resources the project may require.
If there may be a fit, we can request additional material and discuss the most appropriate kind of acquisition or collaboration.
Before work begins, the agreed scope, roles, schedule, rights, royalties, and financial terms are put in writing.
